I think this is a nice app
I thought having some nice background noise of my choosing would be nice. A free app (Chill Lite) that seemed to be easy to use. Well, every 5 minutes, you are given the opportunity to be presented with a pop-up asking you to purchase the full version. That pretty much kills the chill-buzz". I like the background, I hate the hard sell! Ive removed it from my laptop.
I really enjoy this app, I pair it with the app Lightning and its super relaxing. I actually enjoy the time limitation because it keeps me from going to sleep...but thats not going to keep me from buying the full version on payday (Im a poor college student :-) ) Super cool! Keep up the great work :)
It seemed to work as expected. Didnt care for the popup though... I didnt realise that free apps still had pop ups. I this apps case, IMHO I feel it would be better to limit the amount of sounds available (maybe just 3) with no pop/interruption and allow users to upgrade to the pro version, or better yet, buy additional sounds (maybe 3 more) for $0.99 a pop. This can also be done with in-app purchase...
Love the quality of sounds used! And the variety is amazing... yet I cannot give this app very high marks for its 5-minutes-at-a-time approache. Its not relaxing once you reliaze every five minutes you will be asked to upgrade. Sorry to say, but Ill probably delete this app and not purchase another version- the approach is a bit tacky, imo. Better to do what else has been suggested: a Lite Assortment of sounds (3) and others for an inexpensive purchase. That i wouldve done & heartily reccomended in a heartbeat.
Great sounds of decent quality. However they only last for five minutes and you get a pop up when you first start the program and another one when you quit asking you to purchase the full version. No thanks, are other alternatives in the app store which allows you to listen to many sound effects without time limitations and nagging.

wonderful… while the options and variety arent too many, it does its job. glad they got rid of the interruption…
Disappointed
Several of the sounds were removed in this update leaving only three plus two that are "noise" meaning static. Disappointed.

Exactly what I needed
This app is perfect for students who are trying to concentrate on homework while their roommates are being loud and obnoxious.
Give me a break. 16 of the 21 sounds were removed. Okay, great. The 5-minute nag screen is gone. Thats probably a good thing. But there there is still a popup nag screen, and the software is severely crippled. There are other free programs out there that do this. While so far I think this is a decent program, I also think the author has a bit of an ego problem. Until HE chills, I probably wont be paying for the full app.

Ive really enjoyed this app. I love the sound of rain and this lets me get that peaceful mood even when Im working on my 3L subjects. The timer function is a great way for me to allocate my time to each subject teh way I want. I just set the timer for a set period and when it goes off I take a break or reset for a new class. Great job to Mr. Cheng!

Im rating the Mac version as a 4 because I have the free version on the iPhone and its obviously the expanded version that was on the Mac previously. The iPhone version is a 5. When you intentionally downgrade an app, youre going to get lower evaluations. I use this app with a set of headphones and love it because it allows me to concentrate on my work. I couldnt ask for much more than that. Just put some, if not all of, the other sounds back into the Mac app and be done with it. Your customer service rating will go up - and isnt that what you are really concerned about? KF

Removed SOME sounds?
